NEET Counselling 2021

Although the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has not yet released notification for all NEET UG 2021 India quota counseling, several states have begun to receive graduate medical advice for their seats. Admission to 85% of undergraduate medical positions is granted through state fee counseling conducted by state advisory bodies. Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Assam are some of the states and UT that started the NEET 2021 consultative process.

Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling

Candidates can seek advice from TN NEET on the following official websites:

15% All India Quota NEET counselling

The Medical Advisory Committee (MCC) will conduct counseling for seats below 15% of the All India Quota (AIQ) in an online mode at mcc.nic.in. at Seats government medical faculties, central universities, BHU,AMU, JMI for BDS, ESIC, AIIMS, JIPMER and AFMC will fill below 15% of the AIQ.

85% state quota NEET counselling

The respective state authority will evaluate vacancies below 85% of each state’s state quota for admission to the respective state colleges or universities of medicine and private colleges of medicine. State officials will publish the schedule for the 85% state counseling on their official website.

Deemed university counseling

Admission to 100% of MBBS / BDS positions in the considered universities will be made by the MCC through the centralized advisory service of NEET 2021. There is no segregation of 15% and 85% of the positions for the considered universities.

Required Documents during the TN  NEET 2021 Counselling

  • NEET 2021 result/scorecard
  • NEET 2021 admit card
  • 10th  mark sheet
  • 11th  mark sheet
  • 12th Mark Sheet or equivalent
  • Bonafide certificate (student has passed Class 6th  to 12th  from a school in Tamil Nadu)
  • Transfer certificate from the school last studied
  • Nativity certificate
  • Aadhar Card
  • Community Certificate
  • Ration card/Passport

Conclusion

Counseling details and schedule will be available on the websites of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, State Directorates of Medical Education, as appropriate. Details of the State Board of Medical Education are provided in Appendix IV of the Newsletter available on the NEET website (https://neet.nta.nic.in). Counseling would be carried out by the respective Advisory Bodies, subject to the rules and regulations in force for admission to Faculties of Medicine / Faculties of Dentistry in their area.

Applicants are advised to contact the relevant authorities and relevant counseling institutions for further details. During counseling, eligibility criteria, self-declaration, various documents, etc. of the eligible candidates will be verified in accordance with the norms specified by the respective authorities and/or Faculties of Medicine/Odontology.
